Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Last Freak ("we", "us") collects when you play our games, including Thinky Daily Puzzles (the "Game"), how we use it and the choices you have. If you do not agree with it, please do not use the Game.
Summary
- You can play without giving us your name or email. The Game creates an anonymous account for you.
- If you choose to connect Google or Apple, we receive your name and email from that provider so you can recover your progress.
- We store your game progress so it is not lost and can follow you across devices.
- The Game shows optional rewarded ads, served by Google AdMob, only when you choose to watch one for a reward. Google receives device and advertising identifiers to show and measure those ads.
- We do not sell your data.
- You can delete your account and data at any time, inside the Game or by email.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Anonymous account ID. On first launch, the Game creates an account through Firebase Authentication (Google). It is identified by a random ID that is not linked to your identity.
- Google or Apple sign-in (optional). If you connect your account, we receive the account identifier, name and email address the provider shares with us. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email; Apple then gives us a relay address.
Game data
- Your profile in the Game: display name, chosen avatar, language and country.
- Progress: puzzles played and their results, time spent and attempts, hints, streaks, statistics, achievements, game events and groups of friends you join.
- The date your account was created.
Usage information
- Events about how the Game is used (for example, a puzzle started or finished, a screen opened or a feature used), linked to your account ID and collected with Google Analytics for Firebase. We use them to understand which puzzles are too easy or too hard and to fix problems.
- Daily rankings ("faster than X% of players") are calculated from anonymous counters: we only record how many players finished in each time range, not who they were.
Purchases
The VIP upgrade is a one-time purchase, sold and charged by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive your card or payment details. We receive confirmation of the purchase (product, status, date and a transaction identifier) through Unity In-App Purchasing so we can unlock VIP and restore it on your other devices.
Technical information
When the Game talks to our servers, our providers process technical data needed to deliver the service, such as IP address, device model, operating system, app version and language settings. If the Game crashes, Firebase Crashlytics sends us a technical report of the error (what the Game was doing, device model and system version) so we can fix it.
Advertising
The Game offers rewarded ads: short videos you can choose to watch in exchange for an in-game benefit. They are served by Google AdMob. When an ad is requested, Google may collect your device's advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android; on iOS the IDFA only if you allow tracking), IP address and approximate location derived from it, device model, operating system, language and how you interact with the ad. Google uses this data to deliver, measure and, where permitted, personalize ads, and to prevent fraud, as described in how Google uses information from apps that use its services.
Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom), we ask for your consent before ads are personalized. On iOS, the system asks before any app can track you. You can also reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your device settings (Android: Settings > Google > Ads; iOS: Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking).
Notifications
The Game may schedule reminders on your device (for example, that a new daily puzzle is available). They are created locally and you can turn them off in the Game or in your device settings.
2. How we use information
- To run the Game: create your account, save and sync your progress, show daily puzzles, rankings and events.
- To let you recover your progress on a new device when you connect Google or Apple.
- To provide and restore purchases.
- To improve the Game, balance puzzle difficulty and fix bugs.
- To answer your support requests and to protect the Game against fraud and abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations.
Legal bases (where laws such as the GDPR or the LGPD apply): performance of the contract with you (running the Game and your purchases), our legitimate interests (improving the Game and keeping it secure) and compliance with legal obligations.
3. Service providers
We use the following providers, which process data on our behalf:
- Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database to host accounts and game data; Google Analytics for Firebase for usage events; Crashlytics for crash reports). Firebase privacy.
- Google Sign-In and Sign in with Apple, only if you choose to connect.
- Unity In-App Purchasing, Google Play and the Apple App Store for purchases.
- Google AdMob for rewarded ads. Google privacy.
Other players never see your account. Rankings and votes are shown only as anonymous percentages.
We do not sell or rent personal information. Apart from what Google collects to serve ads, as described above, we do not share it with advertisers. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.
4. International transfers
Our providers may store and process data on servers outside your country, including in the United States. They use safeguards such as standard contractual clauses for these transfers.
5. Retention
We keep your data while your account exists. When you delete your account, your account and game data are removed from our database. Aggregated, anonymous statistics (such as ranking counters) that cannot identify you may be kept. Purchase records are kept by Apple and Google according to their own policies.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict certain uses, and to withdraw consent. To exercise them, email contact@lastfreak.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To delete your account and all its data, see Delete your account.
7. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
Data is sent over encrypted connections and access to it is restricted by authentication and database security rules. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.
9. Changes
We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the Game.
